For  alreaddy over 100 years cotton is used for the production of clothing, even in the current time cotton is one of the most favourite fabrics to use by the textile industrie .

The cotton plants need a lot of water . For example: To make 1 normale T-shirt there is 2700 liters of water needed. This huge amount of water is used to water the cotton plants and being able to produce the T-shirt .

To produce 1 kg of cotton  aproximatly 11.000 liters of water is needed.

The cotton industry is responsible for 2.6% of the water ussage in the whole world. In areas where it doesn´t rain much , the cotton plants have to be watered by artificial watering systems. 73 % of the cotton industrie uses such watering systems to water the cotton fields.

According to the WWF there is 8.500 liters of water needed to produce one Jeans.

Because of this we think its very important to recycle the recources.  Re using these recources will be a big theme in the future !

Everybody can make a diverence.
